My family and I have been living in Didsbury for the past 15 years and I feel so lucky be the art teacher at Ross Ford!
My Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida, and my teaching certification is from Arizona State University.
When I was young and peppy, I taught art at Kawananakoa Middle School in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Ortiz Middle School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Then I had babies, moved to Canada, learned how to curl and be a hockey mom, and started substitute teaching in Chinooks Edge School Division.
My boys, Henry and Charlie, go to school in Didsbury and my husband, Coach Chris, is a philosophy Professor at the University of Calgary. Some of you might know Coach Chris from Didsbury Soccer, or from the Philosophy for Children groups he facilitated at Ross Ford and Westglen.
I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching art to the children of the community I love, and to watch them grow into creative artists. My goal at Ross Ford is to help your child believe in herself as a creative person and to help her grow her drawing ability.
